A garimpagem ilegal no Pará mais uma vez ganhou repercussão a nível nacional desta feita colocando em evidência o empresário de Novo Progresso Márcio Macedo Sobrinho, sócio da empresa Gana Gold, atual M.M Gold, empresa investigada pela Polícia Federal por garimpagem ilegal na região Norte do país. A apuração da PF aponta que o grupo não contava com autorização de lavra para realizar a atividade em uma área vinculada ao município de Itaituba (PA).
A lavra é o tipo de licença expedido pelo poder público que permite a extração de minério. Detinha apenas uma GU (guia de utilização), expedida em março de 2020, “de caráter excepcional, não podendo ser confundida com a autorização final”, afirmou a polícia. Os investigadores disseram que o caráter de excepcionalidade não foi observado pelos suspeitos.
“Existe intensa atividade no local que claramente supera a de mera pesquisa, havendo inclusive movimentação expressiva de caminhões.”
Para ilustrar a suspeitas levantadas contra o grupo empresarial, a PF anexou aos autos fotos aéreas de uma área de aproximadamente 192 hectares. Imagens mostram trechos de mata devastada. Na área foram construídos barracos, galpões e outras estruturas utilizadas para exploração do local. Em março de 2020, segundo informou a PF, a ANM (Agência Nacional Mineral) emitiu uma guia de utilização em nome da Gana.
O perito responsável pela análise do identificou valores incompatíveis de comercialização do ouro que superam em até 33 vezes o teor estimado de aproveitamento do produto na pesquisa mineral.
Até agosto de 2021, em apenas um ano e cinco meses, a Gana “registrou o comércio de um total correspondente de 3.998.223 g (três milhões, novecentos e noventa e oito mil, duzentos e vinte três gramas) de ouro ou, aproximadamente, 4 t (quatro toneladas)”. Isso representa, segundo a PF, um aumento de cerca de 2.380% em relação à produção anual informada na guia de utilização, que previa cerca 96.519,16 gramas de ouro a cada 12 meses.
“Assim, nesse período, a produção deveria ter sido 160.865,72 g (cento e sessenta mil, oitocentos e sessenta e cinco gramas e setenta de dois centésimos) de ouro e não quase quatro toneladas”,
afirmou a polícia.
A empresa Gana Gold, de acordo com a investigação, “esquentava” o ouro extraído ilegalmente em garimpos da região Norte do país. Para isso, ela se valia de licenças ambientais inválidas, extrapolando os limites de pesquisa que possuía.
Ao se debruçar sobre os dados financeiros do grupo empresarial liderado pela Gana Gold, a PF diz ter descoberto que dezenas de investigados “movimentaram quantias milionárias e demonstraram possuir elevado patrimônio”. Eles também ocultavam os valores provenientes do crime, e alguns deles solicitaram e receberam o auxílio emergencial do governo federal durante a pandemia.
“Foi revelada uma movimentação de quantias bilionárias pelo grupo criminoso, com depósitos e saques milionários em espécie, empresas de fachada e transferências bancárias entre envolvidos”,
afirmou a polícia.
Em um documento anexado ao pedido de buscas e prisões, a PF detalha por meio de fotos como o empresário gastava parte do dinheiro oriundo do garimpo ilegal. O casamento de Macedo, por exemplo, teve duas duplas sertanejas famosas como atração. Bruno e Marrone e Jads e Jadson cantaram no evento.
“De acordo com sites abertos, o cachê da primeira dupla é de aproximadamente R$ 220 mil e o da segunda chega a R$ 80 mil, valores elevados gastos apenas com as bandas do casamento”,
diz a PF.
Os investigadores também elencam no documento fotos de bens de luxo de Macedo, todos com um adesivo com sua logomarca particular: a MM, iniciais do seu nome. Entre as fotos juntadas no relatório pelos investigadores estão uma lancha com o nome “Garimpeiro”, caminhonete importada, helicóptero e aviões. Outro bem que a PF aponta para a vida de luxo de Macedo é a mansão em Novo Progresso (PA).
